This top was a risk for me.... I'm not a fan of tops with elastic in the waist. My plan was to make view B; however, my "fashion-savvy daughter" suggested I make view A. I think it was a success. I love the top. It was also my first time doing french seams.
Mock wrap, pullover, fitted through bust, no shoulder seams. Sleeveless blouse with elastic in the waist. Top has self-lined yokes, shaped hemline, and very narrow hem.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, it did.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
They were easy to follow and the top was quick to make.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
There is a beautiful detail at the under arm that I absolutely love! It's just the sort of "sewing geek" detail that motivates me to buy a particular pattern. I also love the sleeve cap.
Fabric Used: Rayon...silky print. It has a wonderful hand!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Not really...I stuck to the plan. It's a great top. The only thing I did differently was to do french seams.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes...definitely! In fact, I have a red print in my stash that I plan to use on it.
